I decided it’s time to change my website. I had two choices.
1. Stay with the site that I built and FIND the time to enhance it.
2. Purchase a template that someone else spent the time to write and test.
I decided to go with the later. Realistically, I just don’t have the time and I think all of my customers are that way as well. There are too many inexpensive impressive templates from which to choose.
Then I had another decision to make – how to deploy.
Again, I had two choices:
1. Upload the template to my test region and keep it there until it was ready.
2. Go ahead and load it on my live site.
Each site has to look at their unique circumstances, their target audience, and decide what methods are best for them.
I chose the later again. I don’t have much website traffic, I’m a small business, and I don’t have e-commerce. No one will be hindered if my site isn’t functional for a few days. Every business needs to look at their unique needs and decide what makes sense for their situation.
Stay tuned! I’m excited about the new look.
